opinion on a pale ale recipe

just wondering if this sounded good or if it needs a little tweaking.

5 gal. extract

1.07 lbs. american 2 row
4.05 lbs. alexanders pale liquid
2.49 lbs. liquid amber extract
.9 oz. amerillo(pellets,8.50%AA)boiled 60min.
.50 oz. mt. hood(pellets,5.00%AA)boiled 15 min.
.50 oz. liberty(pellets,4.00%AA)biled 1 minute
yeast: white labs WLP001 california ale


o.g. 1.050
t.g. 1.012
bitterness: 37.5 ibus
alcohol: 5.0%

You do know you'll have to mash the 2-row, right? Otherwise if you steep it, you'll extract starch from the grain (unless of course it's steeped at mashing temps, but then again that'd be mashing). Anyhoo... You might consider replacing the 2-row with some more pale extract to simplify your recipe. Another option is to replace the 2-row with some Dextrine Malt or Caramel Malt (10-20L) to give it more body-building and head-retention properties but not alter the color significantly.
