Witbier Recipe Using The Recipe Generator

Postby faustie » Sun Aug 06, 2006 10:37 am

I've been trying to make a witbier style recipe using the recipe generator here on the site but it keeps giving me errors saying that the beer is too dark and to try a different grain base. Well, I've tried every combination of base grains that they have available and it will not let me progress past the adjunct selection stage. I haven't added any adjuncts or specialty grains, just selected 2 base grains and it says that the recipe will yield a beer that is too dark for a witbier. Has anyone used the generator for a witbier style recipe and had it work? Is this just a glitch or is there only a few grains that can be used in the generator?

Hi,

Look up a recipe called Beertools wit, it is my list under wit I believe.
I have made this one several times, one of our favorites.

Hope that helps.
