Jack Daniels 1866 Classic
A few years back Jack Daniels brewed an oak aged pilsner called 1866 Classic. It is no longer available. Does anyone have a recipe for brewing this beer?
Never had it but
I never had the stuff, but it is supposed to still be in production in Cincinnatti, OH
Hudopohl brewing is supposed to be making it. The reviews on it stated it to be O.K., but not exemplar, or unique. There are some good pilsner recipes out there, and you could add Oak Chips to your secondary as long as the were sterilized. Was it a light colored beer, or did they roast or char the chips like they do for their Whiskey?
