Most efficient false bottom?

I have recently assembled a three tier system and installed a false bottom made from a piece of perforated stainless sheet I found in a scrap yard. The holes are 3/32" on 3/16" centers. Is this an ideal perforation or is there something better? Thanks.

Also look at St. Pats.com for information on centers and size of holes.
