rinsing sanitizer

Post by mitzi303 »

Hiya folks
I use bruclean to sanitize. At present i rinse everything after sanitizing with boiled water.
question : do i need to do this ? its a real pain boiling all that water.
I live in the UK and the water quality is very good.
What do you folks think ?

I'm not familiar with the product that you're using. I'd recommend Star San from Five Star Chemicals which is a no-rinse sanitizer.
I have friends in the UK so I know it should be available to you.

Star San is NOT available in europe.
If someone knows I'm wrong, then please, please give me the link where I can buy Star San here in europe.

Ordering Star San from U.S.A. is next to impossible, as postage and customs are too high.

At the moment I'm forced to sanitize my equipment with potassium metabisulphite. You can check out this "poison" on wiki:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Potassium_metabisulfite

Hopefully someone somewhere knows of a place in Europe that has star san.

Thanks in advance for any info

Sorry to burst your bubble, but you didn't help me at all.

I checked out your site. As it happens, they don't send their products to Slovenia. Don't ask me why - maybe they don't like money??? I mean - Slovenia IS in the European Union - by the way, and has been for many years.

Some day - maybe I'll have the luck to get Star-san. I just hope that I won't be disapointed when I get it, and just put it ona shelf, because by then, I'll be used to using something else.

I sent them a message begging them to send me some star-san. Now I have to wait and see if I get a response or not.

fingers crossed
