Im brewing with wheat malt for the first time...

Do I need to do a protein rest during the mash?

Thanks!

Wheat Malt

You don't need a protein rest for modern wheat malt, and it has the potential to overly thin the body of the beer. Sometimes brewers might choose to use one if they want a light body or a clearer beer or to get higher yield, or if they simply find it works well for them in their system.
