Adding hops to your brew...
Hey guys I'm new to homebrewing and ive only done 2 batches so far so i thought it would be a good idea to join a forum so i have a world of information and help at my fingertips. Anyway i have read about adding hops to your brews, not that i am yet ready to try it. But how is it done? Do you boil the hops in water then add the water to the fermenter or what?
I understand the different times for boiling to get bittering, aroma etc but how do you add it to the beer? Noone ever explains it anywhere Ive read.
Thanks guys.

When you prepare the wort, the liquid that will ferment into beer, you boil it for an hour, for a number of reasons. You add the hops during this boil, boiling the hops in the wort.
Boiling wort in plain water will not give the same result.
