Styles 24-28

Post by brewnet »

How do I include BJCP style guidelines for categories 24-28? Meads, Ciders, Perrys are my thing .. these are legitimate categories, well defined .. why can't I use them with BTP?

You can add the styles to your custom styles yourself and then use them in your recipes. Also, styles can be edited on a per recipe basis.

The difficulty arises when using juices in your recipes, because, as stated by jawbox, BeerTools Pro is designed primarily as a beer oriented program. You may need to do your own experimentation to determine what data to use for your juice ingredients. They can probably be considered weak extracts or adjuncts with high moisture levels.

Hope this helps.
