Where to search?

Just a quickie for U experts on this forum..
Ok I want to find out about a feature on the Software screen,, ie "Vol of water added" so where do I go if I wanna search the past posts..
Also while I have your eyes,, can someone explain what is the purpose of this anyway when doing the recipe..

There is a search function at the top of the forum page, right below the main menu-bar, next to the FAQ button.
