BeerTools Pro - can't save, can't open...

I just purchages BTP version 1.0.22 and I sat down today to enter in all of my hand written recipes only to find that I can't save or open any files. Almost everything under the file menu is grey'd out. The 'my recipes' in the Online menu is also grey'd out. I know I got that to work once, but I don't know what happened.

When you view the "About BeerTools Pro" window, does it say that you are using a trial license?

Yes, it says that I have a trial version but I have entered my license key several times and clicked the 'I Agree' button to the license. It just won't seem to take.
