Congratulations - BTP pictured in BYO

Post by Bob57702 »

Congratulations Jeff and Lathe. A picture of BTP is on page 40 of the Mar-Apr issue of BYO. The article is Balanced Recipe and has a screen shot of BTP.

Got my BYO

Saturday, 3 Feb. I really like the idea of a balanced beer so I went straight to this article then lo and behold.

Is this article about the BV, or Balance Value, as discussed in this very interesting article?

It's not so much about the BV as it is about formulating beer. Of course if you keep each criteria value within the prescribed range for the style the BV seems to calculate out to a reasonable value. For the most part anyhow. I had put the equations in a spreadsheet a while back to play with and decided that BTP does get it close enough. Both are very interesting articles.
