JSP grain mill

I just bought a JSP mill. He has two models, one u can adjust, the other u cant (that's the one I have). I like it alot. Easy to use, cranks well. I can crack 20 pounds of grain by hand in about 10 minutes.

high gravity-mash tun

I'm using the minibrew mash/lauter tun. It can hold appx 28 pounds of grain. So when I use about 27 pounds of grain, my S.G.with DWC pale is usually 1.080-1.090.

flojet c02 pumps

Anyone have any experiance with the Flojet CO2 pump. I used it this past weekend to pump my beer from the kettle to the bottom of the conical fermenter. These pumbs are used for pumping sodas, but seemed to work great with the chilled wort.

high gravity brewing

Has anyone tried hight gravity brewing. I usually brew big beers with a OG of appx 1.080-1.090, in ten gallon batches.
I was thinking of diluting the uncarbonated beer with boiled spring water. appx. five gallons for the 10 gallons of fermented wort. Giving me a total of 15 gallons of beer. Any Tips?

go for it

Well...if u think it's not infected, the beer smells and looks ok, continue with the process. I've picked up one infection in my brewing time. Wild yeast...beer smelled bad and tasted worse. If it's a five gallon batch and u lose it..that's not too bad. See how it tastes. Maybe have a friend try it ...

mini-brew 10 gal conical

I just ordered the mini-brew 10 gal conical $225. I already own their mash/lauter tun.
Why everyone gets so !@#$ crazy about plastic scratching,,,i don't know. What kind of stirrers are u using? A chain saw.
Stainless looks nice. I'll let u all know how the fermentor works after I use it.

Fermentap

I own one. It's o.k. nothing more. The yeast settles on the shoulder of the carboy.
So you have to "twist" the carboy back an forth, to get the yeast to settle.
I also lost a lot of beer, trying to clear off the trub.
